Build each Scholar’s self-awareness and recognition of her own ability and capacity to influence and lead.
Help each Scholar maintain a passion to lead and grow her circle of influence.
Create opportunities for each Scholar to evaluate why women leaders are important on her campus, in her home country, and throughout our world.
Help each Scholar recognize opportunities through which she may explore how she can and will apply lessons learned about herself and leadership. This includes through her on-campus leadership experiences, during her internships, and when she returns to her home country.

Before founding CODA Partners, Inc., Kathy served as a human resources leader at a Fortune 200 multi-location manufacturer of commercial foodservice equipment and as the chief HR leader for a $60M, multi-state nonprofit provider of services to youth and their families. Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Communications Education from Miami University and a master’s degree in Education from the University of Miami.

In addition to being a founding partner of CODA Partners, Inc., Dr. James (Jim) Sartain serves as a full-time faculty member at the Leavitt School of Health at Western Governors University. He is also a Full Professor of Leadership and Strategy at the Jack Welch Management Institute, a top-five MBA program, and continues to coach senior executives across diverse industries. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bowling Green State University, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Harold Abel School of Psychology at Capella University. His research explores the relationship between self-identity and leadership performance.
